Sustainable Urban Mobility in Czech Republic - CH4LLENGE National Seminar

The first National CH4LLENGE Seminar took place in Brno on 13th October 2014 and attracted altogether 44 participants from the whole country as well as other European countries.
The aim of the Seminar was not only to introduce CH4LLENGE project and its four challenges of sustainable urban mobility planning but also present the current situation in Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) development in the Czech Republic and other countries e.g. Belgium, Slovakia and Germany

The morning session was focused on the introduction of the sustainable urban mobility concept and current development of SUMP in the Czech Republic – from cities which are at the beginning of the whole SUMP process as the first in the country- Brno, Ostrava and Plzeň. The preparation of mobility plan in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, was presented too. The experiences and good practices with the implementation of SUMP in cities in Belgium and , Germany were presented in the afternoon session. Last presentation summarised the perspective of cities engaged in CH4LLENGE project.
